Pouring rain...

Despite everything that's been happening in the Philippines recently, what with the A(H1N1) Virus (Swine Influenza) threat and the Con-Ass bullsh*t, I just can't bring myself to care and be involved. It's not that I don't really care, it's just that so much have happened in the family that I just can't think outside of it. My family has been besieged with one tragic news after another. We've never been in such a roll of bad luck.

Sometimes, when something bad happens to you or to any of your loved ones, you start to wonder how and why it has happened to you. Why you? Why do bad things happen to good people? You know and you're sure that you've been good to others, you've done your part to make this world a better place, still sh*t happens to you! Has something gone awry in the karmic cosmos that people who do not deserve bad karma get it while people who deserve it get away? You wonder what you, or any of your loved ones, have done to deserve such fate. You blame yourself, you blame history, you blame your ancestors, you blame nature, you blame the food you eat, you blame the people around you, you blame the president, you blame the government, and even worse, you blame God! You point an accusing finger to anything and/or anyone you can think of just to make sense of what's happening.

And then, suddenly, you are resigned. You feel you just have to accept things. You try to deal. You do what you can. You thank the people around you. You concentrate so much in trying to make things a little better for everyone. And then, you look around you and wonder how come everybody's life has gone on like usual when yours made a complete halt. You think of the words you once heard from a friend: "Well, whoever said life was fair was obviously talking crap!" And, for the first time, you understand that friend and accept his words. Some people say, "When it rains, it pours!"

Then again, most positive people always say, "There's always a rainbow after the rain." You find yourself seeing a glint of that beautiful rainbow and you want to grab on to it, except that it's a little elusive at the moment. But, you breathe a little easier because you have something to hope for. And, finally, you tell yourself, "Despite and in spite of everything, life is good. God is good. And, the rain will stop... soon!"

Hi Ma'am..I know I'm not that old enough to know better but I'd just like to share this. Perhaps you already know this saying, "in every situation, there is always a positive side if we choose to find it". What you are going through right is tough, perhaps even more. But just think that there is or will be a positive side. ^_^

my precious ate dee,

everything happens for a reason. Allah is testing the endurance of those who are faithful to Him. no matter what, let us hold on to Him. Allah is the most merciful, the most beneficent. :D

Don't lose hope. I am one of those guys who believe that there is always a rainbow behind that dark cloud. I just think that all the problems in life are test from God and how we will be judged by how we tackle them. We just have to do our best.
